I made the best memories here as a kid! Its a beautiful camp full of staff that really care. I highly recommend!
We brought a group of students to Camp Northfield for a leadership retreat for our Christian school. It was an honor to train students at a facility that from its establishment over a century ago has been dedicated to the furtherance of the gospel. The directors have done an amazing job preserving the camp's mission and maintaining the historic buildings.
Camp hasn't changed much since.I was a camper in the late 80's to early 90's....but it has adequate things to do and is more in touch with being outdoors than some other places. They have added a moderate sized pool. And there aren't a slew of campers each week, so you can get to know those there easily. Cabins could definitely use some a.c.
It's a exciting camp and relatively inexpensive. It gives children a great week away from media devices and out in nature. Located right off Route 10 in Northfield, MA, it is out away from civilization without being too far from amenities and emergency services. The camp staff makes excellent food. They recently went to using almost exclusively fresh, raw ingredients. (In the words of a visiting college group, "This isn't normal camp food.") Family week closed with a formal banquet. Children with allergies and dietary restrictions are very well treated. The cooks make them the same meal, or one that looks the same, and prepare it to draw no attention to them. It does much to help avoid bullying.
