My girls who are 10 and 12 attended Camp Michawana for the very first time. Prior to this they have never been to any overnight camp. We toured the facility prior to them going. We were greeted with smiles and friendly staff and counselors. The feedback I received from my girls was the Counselors were very involved with campers, they knew sooo many of them by name. They loved the Chapel in the morning (skits), the breakout session for zoom in or zoom out Bible study (more in depth or for those who struggle with understanding not as in depth). Loved, tubing, zip lining, the slip and slide, the food was GREAT! They had lots of fun with their bunk mates. The only struggle they had was trying to figure out where they had to drop off a camp postcard to send home, to grandparents or friends. Sounds like not to many kids do this but, my girls came prepared and wanted to share their experiences with their friends/family back home. My only suggestion is to have a "Mail Box" for the campers to drop their mail into everyday, if they choose too. Thank Michawana for making my girls enjoy their first ever camping experience. They already want to sign up and come back next year. Thank you for the LOVE you pour into these kids and pointing them to JESUS!!

Nice and quiet RV campground. However, their claim of "We have very spacious lots" is a HUGE overstatement. Our firepit is about 15 feet behind our RV, while the neighbors firepit on our drivers side is about 8 feet from our RV. The neighbors RV on our passenger side are about 20' from our RV and have crossed though our site at least 6 times since they arrived last night. Privacy isn't a thing here. Mgmt is friendly and nice to work with. Golf carts aren't permitted, yet they are all over the place. When we asked about bringing ours we were told "no." When we sit outside we're just feet away from our neighbors RV. All in all it is a nice campground, just tight quarters.

This was our son's second year of attending mini camp. He has loved the experience and can't wait to go back next month for another mini camp and next year for an entire week! The people here are great with the kids and teach children the way to live for God.
