Camp Lu-Jo KISMIF ('Keep It Spiritual, Make It Fun') is a Christian overnight camp south of Faxon in southwest Oklahoma, a tradition since 1962 and affiliated with the Churches of Christ. Sessions run through the summer for different age groups, with campers ranging from fourth grade through recently graduated seniors focusing on spiritual growth and recreation.

★★★★★Landon LewisCamp Lu-Jo has always had a special place in my heart since I was a camper there in my youth, and now I send my children there. The great thing about Lu-Jo is that there are so many different week-long sessions that you can find a session tailor-made to you and your child’s needs. Lu-Jo just keeps growing. There are sessions now specifically for all age groups, and even a new session for middle school aged female campers. They have beginner sessions for younger elementary, sessions specifically focused for 4-6 grade mid elementary and junior high campers, and sessions that encompass all ages from 4th grade to graduated senior all in one session. Every time I have sent my child to Lu-Jo, I’ve always felt comforted that they have their safety and well-being as their top priority. If you want a safe and fun Bible based camp for your child, this place is awesome! No wonder they call it a piece of heaven on earth!

Our oldest daughter was baptized there as a teen and later married her husband there…who also grew up going to LuJo so it was really special for them. Our daughters are now on staff along with their husbands and with us. Our family has truly grown up at LuJo together. We have known and loved the people involved in this camp for over 30 years. I trust these people to help foster and strengthen my faith as well as the faith of my children. “Camp” is not only an event we look forward to every year, we live it year round in our preparation for it and in the relationships we’ve been blessed with over the years. Anyone who knows our family, knows that LuJo is a major part of our life. It’s a place where we feel closer to God, closer to each other, and closer to our brothers and sisters in Christ.

★CallistoAmoreI am in absolute shock. My niece got back just yesterday and I have so many concerns. This camps allows 4th graders up past 1 am, it allowed kids to shoot guns, shotguns at that, without any parental consent or notification. It did not allow kids to go to bed early as there were no councilors in dorms, at this point it was 2 am. They were in cellars, where scorpions and spiders were. She will not be allowed back to this place, I will save for her to go to Falls Creek.
