Powered by GoogleMy 19 year old special needs son goes every year for 2 weeks. He has the BEST time. We get a break. They are amazing and hardworking people. The grounds are beautiful and clean. He swims every day and gets tons of exercise. And his Medicaid waiver pays for the whole vacation.
This place gets one star, my son who attended camp has come back with bad cuts and a big bruise on his forehead!!!!!! Tell me how he did this when he is wheelchair bound. I never received a call and when he was dropped off I had to ask what happened to him and the staff said the bed rail. So did they leave him in the bed all day? Did they bang him against the rails ? My son is non verbal and it turns my stomach as in what could have been going on. Keep your kids home and safe.
This place expects you to work the day AND the night, and then they’ll let you know if you ‘deserve’ a 1 hour nap before getting back into it for the day. Oh, and your camp counsellors are paid about $2.60/hour. Now, I’m not sure about anyone else, but I wouldn’t feel safe being in charge of multiple children in that situation, let alone letting someone else be in charge of my children in that situation. Do your research before putting children in this camp.
Truly wonderful place. Two of the best, life changing, summers spent here at Camp Loyaltown
My review is from a Counsellor point of view... this place is AMAZING ! For campers, giving them the chance to enjoy summer and do the activities that every human been is doing during summer. For their families, offering them a time to recharge. And for Counsellors, offering them the chance to enjoy summer and helping the campers to enjoy the summer. In my opinion is a win-win opportunity. Camp Loyaltown was one of my best experience in my entire life and I will always miss those summers. ❤️Camp Loyaltown❤️
