Powered by GoogleWe sent our two children for a combined 23 years. And that's saying something, given we live in South Carolina and CLH is in Texas! A magical place based on the Golden Rule. Staff creates a safe and inviting environment, with fantastic, engaging activities, all while communicating well with parents. Heaven on earth!
I attended for 8 years as a camper and 7 years as a counselor. I can confidently say that my summers here have made me the person I am today! It instills independence, confidence, and camaraderie in kids from a young age all while having fun! During my years as a counselor, I watched as the kids around me were able to display the best versions of themselves during their weeks at camp and form relationships that I know (from experience) will last a lifetime. Could not recommend Camp Longhorn enough and cannot wait until my own kids are able to experience the magic of this place one day!
I went to CLH Indian Springs for 7 years as a camper and 10 as a counselor. There is no place on earth where truer friends you'll know! I'm still in contact with the girls in my cabin from growing up, and my network expanded immensely as I became a counselor. It was the best way to spend my summers in college (and a couple after graduating!). I gained skills as a camper and a counselor that I still use in my everyday life. My time at Camp Longhorn was the greatest investment of my childhood and young adult years.
I attended Camp Longhorn Indian Springs for 14 years - 9 years as a camper and 5 years as a counselor. This place brought me the best friends and best memories, but above all, self-confidence! This place builds character, values hard work & respect, and cultivates the most authentic form of fun! Someone is always there to cheer you on or give you a smile! The saying is so true: "Everybody is somebody at Camp Longhorn!" Love this place so much!!! I wouldn't be who I am today without camp
I attended CLH Indian Springs for 9 years as a camper and can easily say it was the highlight of my summer every year! From the activities, to the friendships, to the counselors and leadership, every part of this camp is above the rest. I made countless memories as a camper & will have stories to tell about this place for the rest of my life. I always knew I could look up to the counselors there, be myself, and have fun every minute of the day. My time at camp truly shaped me into who I am and taught me many valuable life lessons. Best place ever!
