Camp Liberty
Private
Camp Liberty is a privately owned, veteran-run military cadet training facility on 76 acres in Vinemont, and the home of Extreme Military Challenge, an overnight military-style summer camp. Programs run two to five weeks and train more than 200 teenagers a summer in the military lifestyle; the site also hosts leadership and training programs for JROTC, Sea Cadets, Civil Air Patrol, Young Marines and Explorers. Facilities include barracks lodging for 250-plus, an Army-standard obstacle course, a 35-foot rappel tower, ziplines, ponds and a log chapel.

Powered by GoogleMy son had a great time. It was not easy, but he loved it. He has more confidence and pride in himself. They teach our boys what it truly means to stand up and be a man in this world. It is not easy on a mom either, but I would do it again...and I mean that cause we already signed up for next year...hardcore!
As a proud third-year returning parent of a cadet, I can confidently say that XMC is truly life-changing. Our son has grown tremendously! Mentally, emotionally, and academically through the challenges and structure this program provides. The lessons he’s learned here go far beyond what most of his peers have experienced, shaping his core values and leadership skills in powerful ways. Last summer, he faced failure…but instead of giving up, he returned with more determination than ever. XMC provides a safe, disciplined environment where consequences are not meant to discourage, but to develop strong leaders. As a parent, it was hard to hear about some of the tough moments, but I knew they were necessary for his growth. Since then, he’s gone on to complete Winter Tactical and is now enrolled in three summer courses during his third year! This year was especially meaningful. Just days before camp, our son lost his older brother, who proudly served in the Army. Though he was grieving, he wanted to attend camp in his brother’s honor. I received a call from camp staff noticing something different in him, when I explained our loss, they responded with compassion and support. Rather than punishing or overlooking his emotional state, they walked alongside him, helping him find purpose and strength. That kind of care is rare. XMC is more than a camp! it’s a community that builds young men & young women into confident, capable leaders. My son is thriving, and hearing the pride in his voice means everything to us. Thank you, XMC, for helping shape him into the admirable young man he is becoming. I’m a proud XMC mom for life!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Extreme Military Challenge at Camp Liberty is truly life-changing! I can’t say enough good things about this incredible program. My 15-year-old son just completed the Extreme Military Challenge at Camp Liberty and earned the prestigious title of Cadet—and let me tell you, I’ve never seen him prouder! From day one, he was pushed, challenged, and inspired in ways that built not just physical endurance, but mental toughness, leadership, and discipline. The staff are phenomenal—firm but fair, and truly invested in shaping these young people into the best versions of themselves. The attention to detail, structure, and respect taught throughout the camp was exactly what my son needed at this stage in his life. The growth we witnessed in just a short time was beyond what we ever expected. He came home standing taller, speaking more confidently, and carrying himself with pride. He even asked if he could go back next year—before we even left the parking lot! If you’re looking for something that will challenge your teen, instill values, and give them a serious confidence boost, Extreme Military Challenge is it. It’s not just a camp—it’s a transformation. We are beyond grateful for the experience. Thank you Colonel Land and to your entire Cadre of making a difference for these young man and women! The bear hug I received on friends and family night after tapping him out was the best feeling ever!
