Powered by GoogleMy son is going into his 6th year at La Junta. It's his most favorite place. Highly recommend.
Thank you for planning for foreseeable disasters. You treated your responsibility of watching other peoples children with the respect it deserves - you saved lives and did what needed to be done. When the time comes, my kids will be attending camp La Junta.
I just took my son to a Father-Son Weekend and it was AWESOME! My son and I absolutely loved it and we can't wait to go back. Friday night, we fished and he played legit laser tag with all the other kids. On Saturday morning, he got to go horseback riding and try riflery. We went for a hike up to the Camp La Junta sign, which he really liked. The only thing he didn't like was the waterslide, but he's young and it's pretty fast into the water. The rope swing was really fun too. The Dads versus Sons dodgeball was also entertaining and fun. On Sunday, he got to do more fishing, archery and then he loved the rock climbing wall. I thought the food was pretty good and I really enjoyed the burgers on Saturday night. The owner Scott and his staff were very nice and great with all of the kids. We'll definitely be back, it was a great bonding moment for us!
My brother went to CLJ as a kid. His kids go to camp longhorn and I asked him where should send my son and said, CAMP LA JUNTA! And he was right! It was the perfect match for my high energy wild child. It’s the perfect place to let boys be boys. He was asked today what his best memory of the summer was and he said Camp La Junta! Definitely will be going back next year!
Camp La Junta is a wonderful camp for boys! My husband and his brother attended as children. My son has attended for the past 5 years and will continue to go as long as he can! He lives for summer so he can go back to camp! I would recommend Camp La Junta ten times over! My son has gained so much in the areas of responsibility and independence. I wish I would not have hesitated and let him go at a younger age! Don’t be that mom! Send your son! It is the best gift you can give him! Life is good, Camp is Better.
