Camp Kootaga is a 634-acre Boy Scouts of America resident camp on the Hughes River in Wirt County near Walker, historically the summer camp of the Allohak Council. It runs several weeks of overnight Scout summer camp each year across 14 campsites, with outdoor skills, merit badges and waterfront activities. The Allohak Council merged into successor councils after 2018.

You can rent a ~10 person cabin with electricity, bunk beds (for sleeping bags), and a wood stove for $30 per night. There's river access on three sides of the property. There's also a five mile perimeter hiking trail.
