Camp joy was amazing. Our daughter had been up to camp joy for the past 2 summer. When we were informed that there was a Jr winter retreat we thought it would be a great opportunity to introduce camp to our son who is autistic, delayed in speech and ADHD. We had already talked to staff and the director about our son coming to Jr winter retreat. Our son has safety foods and the head cook was able to have his safety food ready for him. Even though our son would be staying with my husband and I at night is counselors we prepare for our son. They understood his needs and was able to provide therapy puddy to help during service to keep our son engaged in the service. It was a true blessing to have an amazing time. Our son was able to show some staff members our much he enjoyed camp by showing the staff love with high fives and hugs!

They are awful with special needs kids even though stating they are accepting and accommodating and one of the best rated. My child is autistic/ADHD but can function on her own, just sometimes needs reminders and redirection. She went for her first summer camp experience and was sent home early after she got upset from the constant bullying she was receiving from her cabin mates that weren’t addressed by the adults there. I was lied to and said that she hit someone else when she did not. Her aunt was with her the entire time and also stated that she never hit anyone, so it was apparently just easier to blame it all on my child and send her home than to hold the other children accountable. She also came home injured at which no point was I notified of an injury, told me someone put ice in her slippers and only her slippers when all cups had lids on them. Her cabin mates blamed her for talking after lights out when she wasn’t and they were. 4 days of consistent bullying and none of the other girls were deemed a problem. When I expressed my concerns and how problematic it was that my child was the only one singled out they told me the Pastor was unavailable and would reach out to me which he did not. This place is not safe for your kids, they do not care for their well being, just how obedient they are and if they obey. I would never recommend this experience to anyone.

The family camp was out of this world! Preaching was on point and actives too! You will not be disappointed!! Kids went to teen camp and junior camp they came back excited for next year! Food is great too! Fellowship is 😍

Great place. Their staff are awesome. Their rooms are up the scale. Very clean area, very well organized. Extremely recommended for any kind of group to go tbere.
