Rented the Sailing Center for a group of 21 this past weekend, we all had a great time. A nice facility in a beautiful location. Highly recommend if you need meeting space or weekend retreat.
This is a great place. My kids have camped here with the Scouting program.
This is troop 310 Glenarm, Illinois in 1972 taken at Camp Illinek. The scoutmaster Edward Randolph received the Carnegie Hero Award for saving 2 people from a burning jeep in 1976. Only 11 people total in the US and Canada received that award in 1976. We had a great time at Camp Illinek.
One of the oldest campgrounds in Springfield, camp Illinek is chocful of history and nature. One of my favorite places to visit, the grounds have seen several updates over the years. Would highly recommend for group meetings and weekend retreats.
