Camp Idlewild is a nonprofit camp on 140 acres with a private 65-acre spring-fed lake in Land O' Lakes, serving children ages 6 to 17 (and young adults 18 to 30) with special needs such as autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorders, Down syndrome, and developmental delays. It offers overnight (residential) summer sessions, day camp, and weekend camps, with programs adapted to build skills and confidence. Scholarships are available based on need.

Each camper gets to participate in what they like without being forced to participate as a group. Each afternoon there is "downtime" in their cabins. Cabins are very clean and very nice...not all unfinished and rustic like some camps. They are allowed electronics and cell phones at certain times of the day. Highly recommend!!!
