I can’t say enough good things about this place! I just finished working my second summer as a counselor/head counselor. I was a counselor at some point for all three age groups: Hummingbirds (7-10 years old), Cardinals (11-12 years old), and Eagle (13-15 years old). It has been a joy to care for and get to know campers whether they are in 2nd grade or about to start high school. All of the counselors work so hard to make sure that each camper is safe, loved, and having the best two weeks of their life. Hollymont is a very very special place, and even though I was never a camper here it feels like a second home to me.

Well, hunker down because this may be the longest camp review on the page. But I write as someone who was a camper at Hollymont a *few* years back and now I have the perspective as a parent of a camper. I spent ten of the most influential summers of my life at Hollymont when I was growing up. To say that it is a special place is the understatement of the century! It's amazing and had as much of an impact on my overall development and growth as a young child and teenager as anything else. I started plotting my return to camp when I found out I was having a daughter, and last summer I went back to camp to work and took her for her first summer. I worked for a week there and she stayed for two weeks, so she was there for one week without me. She LOVED Hollymont as much as I did and still do and she had an amazing experience! This summer we both went for two weeks. I served on Program staff and she was a second year camper. She absolutely thrived at camp and after another two weeks in the Hollymont bubble, there was a clear increase in her spiritual growth, overall development and independence, and she learned new skills that she loved! As a parent, you want to see your child become better and improve after two weeks away from home, and I can tell you whole heartedly that these young women do! I can attest to the character and integrity with which the camp is operated, the loving and grace-filled Christian atmosphere that makes these young women feel loved and cared for, and the endless hours of fun that they have while they are there! We can't wait for next summer already!! If you're looking for the best camp on planet earth, Hollymont is it.
