Camp Ho Mita Koda in Newbury is a coed overnight camp for children and teens with Type 1 diabetes, founded in 1929 as the oldest such camp in the world. Set on 72 wooded acres about 25 miles east of Cleveland, it runs one-week sessions for grades K-11 with canoeing, kayaking, climbing, archery and swimming in a non-competitive setting. An on-site medical team provides round-the-clock diabetes management, and newly diagnosed campers can attend a free week.

All I remember is the "bell" ringing EARLY in the morning to get in line for our injections (no pumps at that time)...then in line for breakfast.
