Powered by GoogleThis was our son's first summer at Camp Hillcroft. He did 4 weeks and loved every minute of it. He's begging to go back next summer and still talks about Greg and Emily from camp. Thank you to the Buttingers for making such an incredible place for the kids. Its truly magical, I wish I was a kid again and could go to Camp Hillcroft.
So when we went to the parent orientation, all I can say is I SO wanted to go there myself! My daughter loved this camp so much that this year she had begged to go for 4 weeks instead of just 2! Last summer she did things like fencing, nature walks, reading at Maggie's place, zip lining, and so much more! The counselors are amazing and a great source of learning for the campers. My daughter was able to kind of swim when she started Hillcroft, however there was a huge improvement by the end of her 2 weeks there! Sally and Greg run an amazing place at Camp Hillcroft, and I stand by what I started this review with...if I could go there I would in a minute (or even be a counselor!) This is the kind of camp that kids remember for their entire lifetimes! My goal is for Peyton to continue going every summer and eventually become a counselor...she wants to stay there forever! Update: she's been going to Hillcroft every summer and her goal of working as CIT starts next summer. She'll start doing little things, and as the 8 weeks of training continues she's going to get more stuff to do. Then, summer 2026 she'll be a paid CIT❤️. She'll be 15 going on 16. Camp has been amazing, I didn't know it was going to be this kind of adventure. She's made lifelong friends there!
A wondrous camp experience for your children! Our son has been going since he was old enough to go, and he practically begs us to send him for the whole summer. The owners Greg and Sally are kind and thoughtful stewards of this magical place, and they carefully choose the counselors who also contribute so much to the overall experience. The variety of activities for the kids are nice enough that even I get a little jealous seeing their schedule! Camp Hillcroft also has events during the year, and we go whenever we can. They also are affiliated with a great tennis teacher, who holds classes at camps or at spots nearby. If your kid goes, you probably have even more you could add to this review. If you haven’t yet experienced Hillcroft, give it a solid look!!
Our kiddo spent three summers at Camp Hillcroft and we could not recommend it more. The counselors and staff are lovely, the Directors are super communicative and socially conscious, often focusing on age-appropriate activities that teach the kids to be kind to each other, to animals and empathetic to others. They also have really great trips to offer those kids who are old enough to join in on (ie Hershey Park, Splash Down Water Park, Bowling, Ice Skating in the summer, etc). Our child made great, long-term friends who still keep in touch. We highly recommend Camp Hillcroft and will miss them dearly now that our kid has reached the age limit.
I went to Camp HIllcroft as a child and I made lifelong friends and cherished memories each summer. I am blessed to have the opportunity to send my daughter in 2023 for the first time and she had the best summer! She was very nervous to start camp and when I told Sally about my daughters jitters Sally, Greg, and the wonderful Counselors immediately made my daughter feel welcome and comfortable and my daughter quickly made friends with not only children in her group but from other groups across all ages. There is no camp like Camp Hillcroft. The attention to detail in their care for your child and activity planning does not go unnoticed. My daughter spent her summer days swimming (both instructional swim and free swim), playing sports, doing arts and craft, bracelet making, among so many other great daily activities. Each day was different. Not only are the activities plentiful, the staff from top to bottom have the same mission of creating a happy, healthy, respectful environment where your child will play, learn, and make friends and memories. On the last day of camp, I witnessed many of the counselors and campers in tears because the summer was over. If you are able to send your child or children to Camp Hillcroft it will truly be the best summer they could ask for. My daughter is already talking about camp next year! Love Camp Hillcroft and everything they stand for!
