Camp Gravatt is an overnight, co-ed Episcopal summer camp on 270 acres of pine and hardwood forest with lakes and ponds outside Aiken, established in 1949 and affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese of Upper South Carolina. Campers in 1st through 11th grade sleep in platform tents and screened cabins and take part in a Christian-centered community program; the camp welcomes children of all faiths and backgrounds. Two specialty sessions stand out: Camp Adventures in Reading, a residential program pairing intensive reading instruction with camp activities, and Reach Out Camp, offered free of charge to children in 1st-8th grade who have a parent who is incarcerated.

★★★★★Lee BoI have been to Gravatt several times over the past few years. I've been a chaperone for a few youth events and stayed in the cabins on the camp side. Some have power and some don't. All have a thin mattress. I've also stayed on the conference side for my Cursillo (#127), and on staff for #129, #132 and #133. Very good accommodations. You don't have to worry about going hungry because the food is great and there is plenty of it. There is also a garden on the property so a lot of the food you eat comes from the garden. Most excellent okra. This has become my new place of Zen and I go there every chance I get.
