Camp Good News is a non-denominational Christian camp on 15 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Fairview that has offered a tuition-free summer program since 1965. It runs roughly seven weeks of children's camp for ages 7-16, mostly overnight with one week of day camp, using cabins with a mountain trail, playground, basketball, gaga ball, and chapel. The gospel-centered ministry is funded by donors so families pay nothing.

*******WARNING******* This review is from a mother that sent her child to this camp for the day camp. My child came home severely bruised and scratched. Sure he could have fallen except there was an adult size bite mark on his upper middle back. And bruising in the groin. After doing further research there has been other allegations of similar nature from camp good news all over the United States. Also afterwards finding out that no summer camp including this one is regulated at all! Please parents do your research do not send your kids to this camp. Or any camp without doing further research!!!! I want to add that when I reached out to the camp to give them the benefit of the doubt they did not apologize they did nothing except say do you have names? When I so stupidly said no they took it upon themselves to call DSS and have an officer show up at my residence. Even the officer said this looks very suspicious on their end. There is an ongoing investigation and I urge you all to not send your kids here!!!

Daughter had a great time. It's good to see so many caring and professional people there.

My girls go every year. They do fun things with the kids and most of all my oldest child was reciting more Bible verses this year than she ever has. They love the counselors there. They were just sad this year that they didn't get to stay due to COVID-19.

My son had an amazing week! When I picked him up his first words were "Can I come back again next year?"
