Camp Geronimo Headquarters
Private
Camp Geronimo is the primary Scouts BSA summer camp of the Grand Canyon Council, sitting at 5,200 feet on the Mogollon Rim just north of Payson and surrounded by more than 5,000 acres of ponderosa pine. It has run one-week summer sessions since 1956, where Scouts build their own schedules from more than 40 merit badges, and it also hosts camporees and merit badge clinics through the year. The camp has modern shower houses, a pool and pool house, and campsites with canvas wall tents.

Powered by GoogleWent to camp in the ‘80’s with troop 21 from the verde valley, I went several seasons saving money up to pay my way . Later as an adult in college I came back as adult staff and worked in maintenance. As an adult staff I carried a kerosene lantern at night to the different events I did always finding lost scouts grateful to see my lanterns low light . Many events great p,ace to be .

Outstanding scout camp! I was chaplain there for 3 summers around 1980.
I was here in Scouts (Troop 350) in the 80's. Got my Swimming merit badge in the pool which at the time was 1/2 empty and ice cold. Loved the whole experience though.
Great place to send your kids for summer camp.
