Camp Flastacowo is an ACA-accredited summer day camp run by FSU Campus Recreation at the 73-acre FSU Lakefront Park on Lake Bradford in Tallahassee, for youth ages 8-14. Sessions run Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (drop-off from 7:30, pickup to 5:45) with water safety, sailing, kayaking, swimming, a climbing wall, challenge courses, team building, arts and crafts, and outdoor education.

★Inger DanielsDo not sign up for this camp during late July. They charge a premium relative to other camps for the unique activities, but the rain precludes all of it. My children reported they stayed inside talking (!) for three (!) hours a day, and were unable to do paddling, archery, sailing, canoeing, all the things you pay the extra $$ for. It wasn't worth the money during the week my children attended. Administration should plan more engaging activities in case of rain, brochures should better inform of the low likelihood of actually doing the unique activities, or camp prices should adjust for campers who likely won't get to do the premium activities.
