Nice place on the Bear River. Lots of fun when all the scouts are here for the Spring Jamboree! The river isn't much of a feature here and there are basically no trees either. If you bring your own fun it's a great time.
What a beautiful camp! And it's in such a unique location. Right along the banks of Bear River, there is plenty of space to enjoy activities and games at this camp. I also enjoyed the train that passes along the south rim. It's rather picturesque. Some folks told me that they were bothered by the loud horn, but for me it added to the atmosphere. Also the lodge on the camp is awesome! Spacious, well maintained, and (most important of all) features flushing toilets.
It was my sons first Cub Scout Camp. He really liked the zip line and archery range. We bought him his first pocket knife afterward. It was better quality than I expected. The camp doesn't have much shade so it was very hot. Other than that, it was a good day.
This is a great campgrounds that isn't too far away from the major cities of the council. The Bear River gives this campground a really awesome look. The facilities and lodge are very modern and up to date. The road getting to the campground isn't too difficult, and for the most part is relatively flat.
