Camp Eagle Hill is an ACA-accredited, co-ed overnight (sleepaway) summer camp for ages 6-16, family-owned and founded in 1963 on 200 acres with a spring-fed lake in Elizaville, New York (Columbia County), about 90 miles north of New York City. The program balances athletics, arts, and waterfront activities in small groups of seven or eight campers with two counselors. A separate day-camp program runs on the same grounds for local families.

My 10 year old grandson spent two weeks at the day camp (9:00am to 5:pm Mon-Fri). He absolutely loved the camp, staff and activities including, sports, zip line, go carts, fishing and crafts. When we picked him up each day, he couldn't wait to go back the next day. The camp is well run and fully supervised. The facilities are well maintained, staffed by trained counselors, and safe. We toured the facilities prior to the season and we were very impressed with upkeep, administration and cleanliness of the camp. He wants to try sleep away camp there next season. All in all this was a great place for him to spend a portion of the summer. He met new friends, had a marvelous time and as grandparents we knew he was in a safe, fun and supportive environment.
Camp eagle hill is a great camp to go too. No matter if you are a girl or boy you’ll have plenty of fun things to do. There are 2 fabulous pools and the food is fantastic. Every night there is a fun evening activity that follows up with a trip to the camp candy bar where you can grab a snack of chips or candy with soda. It is a sleep away and day camp so parents don’t worry. I have been going to this camp for 2 years and I will continue going here and working here. Oh and the friends you make here will be lifetime. Sure some people can be mean or annoying but mostly everyone is super nice.
Our almost 6 year old daughter absolutely LOVES Camp Eagle Hill! She adores all the counselors, has made new friends & comes home happy & exhausted each day. She's also a city kid living in the country for the summer and has finally learned to swim! This has been a struggle for us and we are SO relieved. The camp is reasonably priced for day camp, especially for all the extras they have. Our daughter does pottery, archery, swimming, plays soccer, sports & more. I know they have a zipline and gocarts for the older kids as well. The facilities are beautiful & well kept and all the staff is lovely. So glad we found them!
Today, my wife and her sister returned to the camp for a visit and met the son of the owner who was a camper as well 45 years ago when his father owned Camp Eagle Hill. The place looks great the greeting was warm they're doing wonderful things with the property it was really exciting to visit the old camp and see that it isn't really old it's actually looking quite nice and white new.
