Camp Claphans is a residential (overnight) camp for children and young adults with developmental disabilities, run by the J.D. McCarty Center in Norman. Summer sessions run Sunday to Wednesday for campers ages 8 to 20, with a 1-to-1 staff-to-camper ratio plus on-site nurses, a physician and a dietitian. Set beside an 11-acre lake, activities include archery, canoeing, fishing, horseback riding, swimming and arts and crafts.
