Traditional YMCA overnight summer camp founded in 1960 by the YMCA of High Point, on 135 acres atop the Blue Ridge Mountains in Glade Valley. It serves rising 2nd-10th graders (ages 7-15) with four weeks of girls' camp and six weeks of coed camp, offering 35+ activities including aquatics, challenge sports, field games, creative arts, and nature study.

A bunk with nine other boys in a cabin. Swimming in the lake, kayaking, target shooting, golf. All sorts of goofy traditional songs. Sits atop the Blue Ridge with a breathtaking vista from 2,900 feet. He had a blast every single year. And we live in Philadelphia so it was a poke to drop him off and go get him. But he looked forward to it every summer from age 8-14. Wonderful place, good people.

The activities here are so amazing with such a variety. I have been in four different cabins here and never had a bad councilor. And don’t even get me started on the food here. Every year it is amazing and they add things to the menu that just make it better and better. In my three years of going here it has really become my home away from home.
