Camp Cedars is the Mid-America Council's principal Boy Scout resident (overnight) summer camp, operating since 1939 on the south bank of the Platte River near Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska. It serves Cub Scouts (ages 7–11) and Scouts (ages 11–17), with facilities including a heated pool, a large dining hall, an amphitheater, shooting-sports ranges, and a nature center. Programming centers on traditional Scouting outdoor skills and merit-badge activities.

★★★★CavalryJoeCamping is camping. The water in the showers are hot but the water smells and tastes like sulfur. Some of the roads to the campsites are not walking friendly. Huge rocks and ruts to navigate.
★★★Michael SefranekGround is very hard. Bring a mallet for yout tent stakes. Bring preperation for ants. It seems that over the years the ants here have evolved to become camp ants. They will systematically search your belongings for food. You should be fine if you don't do anything ridiculous such as leaving open food or unsealed food in your tent. Overall this site could use improvements, but isn't completely terrible. Train and river boat noise might occur depending. Good views of the river. Hiking trails seemed to be a bit overgrown. We camped in a pretty open site, the other camp sites have platforms and possibly pretty hilly terrain. Latrines and everything else seem pretty standard boy scout issue -showing a fair amount of age though.. Pool and climbing wall are nice. Good air conditioning in the buildings if you need it. Food may have been dependant on the program, but wasn't anything too special or different from a gradeschool cafeteria lunch.

There are so many improvements and new things to experience here... I haven't seen yet. The location and the rain overlooks the Platte River from the South. It's a wooded wonderland teaming with wildlife and fresh air. It's very Beautiful. Just a few pics for now.
★★★Christian RobertsonA nice facility, it has been 20 years since I had last been to Camp Cedars. The camp is showing its age, the trials and roads are not being kept up. I remember as a scout spreading chips on the trails and none of the paths have not been maintained. The outdoor buildings need to be power washed, and the grounds need to be mowed.

I implore everyone to experience the climbing wall (50 feet with rock climbing and rappelling. Each level 20 ft, 35, and 50) , and try the COPE corse which is life changing (good) has a zip line and many other challenging courses. Loads to offer
