Camp Bauercrest
Private
Camp Bauercrest is a nonprofit Jewish boys' overnight camp on the shores of Lake Attitash in Amesbury, founded in 1931 and about 40 miles north of Boston. Sports are the center of camp life for boys ages 7-16 - softball, soccer, basketball and tennis - alongside waterfront swimming and boating, arts and crafts, a computer lab and Jewish traditions and observance. The camp organizes itself around what it calls S.T.A.R. principles: sportsmanship, teamwork, achievement and responsibility.

Powered by GoogleAs a parent, there’s nothing better than watching your son fall in love with something that meant so much to you growing up. Camp Bauercrest has been part of our family for five generations — my great-grandfather, grandfather, my father, myself, and now my son. And what’s most special isn’t just the history — it’s seeing how much my son genuinely loves being there. He’s made incredible friendships, gained confidence, and comes home every summer with stories that remind me so much of my own experience. The values, leadership, and sense of community that shaped me are still very much alive today. If you’re looking for a camp where your son will grow, build lifelong friendships, and truly love his summers, Bauercrest is an extraordinary place. We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of it.
Camp Bauercrest is truly a special place and I highly recommend to anyone who is looking to send their son to Camp. My two sons attended Camp and not only did they have a great experience, but as the logo says, they made friends "for a lifetime". In today's "plugged in world", I can not recommend a better place for your son to "unplug" for the summer. Your son will learn how to make friends, be on his own, develop new skills, be part of a team, have fun and fond memories and become part of the amazing Camp Bauercrest community "for a lifetime".
Camp Bauercrest is an incredibly special place. The confidence, self esteem and life lessons these boys gain are priceless. Each night we look forward to seeing their smiling faces appear on our camp app. If my boys could attend camp all year round they would. The staff truly thinks of each camper as family. I would highly recommend Camp Bauercrest!
Camp Bauercrest is truly a special place. As a camper for 8 years, and now being a staff member, I've formed my closest friendships and best memories on the hillside. No matter if you are your town's star athlete or just love to play with your friends, Bauercrest provides a chance for everyone to have a fun and active summer with memories that "last a lifetime." There is no better decision you could make than to send your son to "The Crest."
Best camp! I have 2 boys who are very different from each other and both have found their happy place at Bauercrest. It truly is their home away from home. The activities, friendships, staff, and memories cannot be beat!
