From my childs view(now 1st grader)he absolutely loves AYS. From my view as a parent, some of us use AYS because we absolutely have no other choices and no other help. The lack of communication, the lack of concern regarding certain employees, and the lack of accountability from their employees and the lack of training on how to deal with children, is absolutely amazing. Raven Straughton is the ONLY employee that deserves her flowers. My child is only attending ays because he has to, not because I want him to. The moment I am able to find a better schedule, he will be pulled from AYS for good. The summer program was 10 times worse then the issues we encountered during the regular school year.

AYS has been amazing for my son’s before and after school care. They were very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, and their website is easy to use and informative. Everyone on staff is so kind and welcoming. My son was excited to start because he heard how fun it is, including field trips, and he loves getting to see some of his favorite teachers there too. I feel very relieved and confident about switching Xavier to AYS, and it’s also very affordable. Highly recommend!

It’s a convenient option to have, but like others have mentioned, communication is definitely lacking. I had a meeting at the end of August to discuss my son’s needs and was told there was a waitlist, but that it shouldn’t be too long. It’s now October, and they still haven’t responded to any of the emails I sent in September asking for an update. No one answers the phone either. Businesses should always have someone available to answer calls — it’s a basic customer service practice. If they can’t even manage that, it makes you wonder what would happen if something urgent occurred while your child was in their care.

The AYS staff at the after school program at 61 are awesome. My son loves them. But to no fault of their own the office is horrible. I’ve called multiple times. Sent multiple emails to over 5 different people and not one single response. I withdrew my son, and they were quick to approve it. My son has IEP, and I was told he could get assistance. I’ve been trying to figure out the process. The prices are not worth the couple of hours my child is in the program. Not worth fighting this with them. If my child is not important enough for them to keep, I will gladly take him somewhere else. Luckily, I found another option for my sons aftercare. Cheaper & responsive. UPDATE: The director reached out and has been communicating with me thorougly the past week. She helped fixed my account. I updated from 1 star to 3 as there is still a delay in getting a quicker response. But overall it worked out and my son gets to stay at AYS.

My daughter attends this program at Allisonville Elementary and loves it. She is new to the school, she just started Kindergarten and I was afraid she would be sad about having to stay after school due to my job schedule. She tells me she doesn’t want to get picked up from AYS until closing time and claims AYS is the name of her school. Staff is very welcoming and I am grateful for the great care they give to my daughter.
