Our congregation just spent a weekend at Camp Ao-Wa-Kiya. All of us, from the youngest (2 months) to the oldest (65+ years), had a wonderful time. This God centered camp is set on the gorgeous Stoney Lake. It offers rustic cabins, clean bathrooms, beach volleyball, soccer, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, a high dive, chapel, gym, zipline, rockwall, fire pits, picnic areas, gaga ball, shuffleboard, and more. The food was good, and the staff was amazing. The walkways are paved and well lit. It is about a 5 minute drive to Lake Michigan, and if you are feeling adventurous, you can get there via kayak! We had a wonderful time!

I took my grandchildren to family camp, I had the dates wrong and ended up there a day early and they were just finishing up with middle school camp, I was very stressed about where we were going to stay and the pastor was so kind and gave us a hotel room anyway. My grandchildren and I had an awesome time, they had so much to do and evening services were great. Staff was very accommodating and friendly, especially Caleb, Josiah and Levi and great praise and worship with Cameron. The food was good and company great, our room was clean and comfortable even though we were never in it, to busy with activities. I just want to say we will be back next year and God bless everyone there who worked so hard to help us have such a blessed time.

As a mother of a boy who recently attended a winter retreat, from my experience as a parent, it’s amazing how a place that’s completely unprepared to host anyone during winter season, organizes anything during that time. Cold showers, questionable heating, lukewarm meals and sleeping arrangements military-style, concrete floors and doors that wouldn’t close in 20F weather…, if not for activities that would be considered a major no-no. Definitely not sending any kids there during cold season again. Maybe summers are better.

This is a God-centered camp with beautiful facilities, delicious food, and Bible-based teaching. There's a climbing wall, high ropes course, gorgeous lakefront on Stoney Lake, canoeing, sailing, singing, beach volleyball, and so much more -- and that's just the summer activities. They have a variety of places to stay (depending on if you're there as a camper or for a retreat). Cute cabins, hotel rooms, and motel rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I attended this camp all through my growing up years and still spend time there with my family every Summer. This is one of my favorite places.
