Powered by GoogleCamp Allegheny has been a wonderful place for our youth group. This is the third year in a row that we have travelled to Camp Allegheny and look forward to returning! They are great hosts, facilitators and the food is top notch! It is a great place to hold a retreat!!
We take our middle school students to Camp Allegheny for an overnight retreat each year. The accommodations are more than adequate, and the meals are excellent, featuring a wide variety of options, including salads, fruits, soups, and desserts. The camp offers ample outdoor space for activities such as GaGa Ball and the Ropes Course. Additionally, there is a full-sized gym available for free time and organized games, as well as a recreation room. The camp maintains a clean environment, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We are proud to be repeat visitors. *Dean of Students, Johnstown Christian School
Our church has been taking our students to Camp Allegheny for over 10 years now, and we absolutely love it! From the great, comfortable lodging to the unbelievably helpful staff, our group always has an amazing time. I have personally witnessed Camp Allegheny Staff working tirelessly to help us put on the best camp possible. Their staff team is extremely accommodating, and truly has a Kingdom Mindset and Servant Hearts. Over and over again, I have witnessed their team go well above and beyond to give our students the best week of camp possible. If you're looking for the best place in Western/Central PA to have a camp or retreat, then you have to check out Camp Allegheny.
Camp Allegheny has been a truly transformative experience for our children over the past several years. They started attending Grand Camp with their grandparents, and now, whenever we ask them which Christian camp they want to go to, they always choose Camp Allegheny, even though it’s two hours away! The highlights of their time at camp are countless—learning about Jesus in a fun and engaging way, uplifting chapel sessions, and the infectious camp songs that they bring home with them. The staff and camp counselors are absolutely amazing, providing guidance and support while ensuring that each child feels valued and included. The food is delicious, which is always a plus for kids! They love the variety of activities, including the rock wall, mud pit, and pool, not to mention the exhilarating horseback rides and the unique bubble pit. Each year is packed with endless fun and unique experiences that keep our kids excited and coming back for more. We are so grateful for the memories and spiritual growth that Camp Allegheny has provided our children. It truly is a special place that we wholeheartedly recommend to other families!
Camp Allegheny provides Christian camping year round, changing the lives of both children and adults. Summer Camp provides opportunities to participate in counselor-led, spirit-filled adventures. Weekend retreats are welcome where groups may stay in the lodges, while enjoying meals provided for them. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate group requests. There is a great gymnasium for various sports activities. You can hike or relax and refresh at one of the outdoor chapels or pavilions. I have attended various programs/events and watched the camp grow for almost 50 years and there's no better place to draw close to God and nature.
