I went to this camp in 2022 and I just stumbled upon it on Google maps and this camp sucks. We went to mid places and the people around this place are rude and do not care about concerns, including things like invasion of privacy, fighting, and bullying. Would not suggest going here, Years To Grow's facilities and faculty are much better.

I have been with camp adventurers since I was 3 and they take very good care of the kids that attend this camp. The older you get the more fun you have! All of these reviews may be true but my experience is great! So many people are wanting and waiting to come and attend. You meet so many people there. I met many people and we still talk to this day. This place is so amazing I recommend it.!

It took me quite some time to gather my thoughts for this review as the incident involving my child was deeply traumatic for both her and myself. The reason I am finally sharing this review is because I believe other parents may be looking into summer camps, and I want to prevent any other child from going through what my daughter experienced and how it was mishandled by the owners, Felicia and her husband Doug. To provide some context, my children had previously attended this summer camp without any major issues. However, this past summer, my daughter was subjected to being called a derogatory racial term by another child at the camp. Upon learning about this, I promptly reached out through the app that connects directly to the camp's management. The following day, I spoke with the assistant director, Shelbie, detailing the incident and expressing my desire to speak to Felicia about the matter. However, despite assurances of a callback, I never received one. Given the seriousness of the situation, particularly concerning racial slurs, I felt it necessary to go to the camp in person as my concerns were not being addressed promptly. Upon arriving at the camp office, I was met by Felicia and Doug, and a discussion ensued. I spent over an hour explaining to them why I felt the child who had targeted my daughter should be removed from the camp. However, Felicia seemed unable to grasp the severity of the issue. Despite her camp having a majority of Black/Brown/African American staff members, she failed to empathize with my perspective as a mother of color. After I left the facility her husband Doug called me to apologize for her behavior and ignorance. Felicia defended her decision, arguing that kicking out the child was too harsh a punishment, even likening the incident to a mere accident involving a basketball. I pointed out that had my daughter retaliated physically, she would have been swiftly removed, yet verbal abuse seemed to be tolerated. It was disheartening to realize that Felicia's actions did not align with her outward appearance of inclusivity. She may hire people of color for economical reasons but lacks genuine compassion for them. I would NOT recommend this camp to others based on my experience. Despite the facade of being welcoming and diverse, the lack of empathy and understanding displayed by Felicia towards people of color is concerning. It is evident that her priorities lie elsewhere, and I believe parents should be aware of these underlying issues before considering this camp for their children.
