Bristol Little League has run youth baseball in Bristol, Virginia since 1952, fielding five divisions — Tee Ball, Minor League Coach Pitch, Major League, Junior League and Senior League Baseball — plus Coach Pitch, Kid Pitch and Majors softball. The Eastern Field listing at Valley Drive is one of the league's ballfields, associated with Jim Slagle Park, home of the Eastern Little League. This is a seasonal youth baseball league and its playing field, not a summer camp program.

Bristol Little League and the Bristol Parks and Recreation do a great job in maintaining the field and park. Several ballgames and tournaments are held here each year and an honor garden was added a few years ago to recognize several volunteers that have been instrumental in the history of Bristol Baseball.
