Brenda Athletic Clubs, a Modesto fitness and racquet club operating since 1978, runs tennis summer camps for kids alongside year-round lessons, clinics and children's programs. Campers are grouped by age and ability on arrival, with four to five campers per court and one instructor: younger campers work on racquet skills and catching and throwing on a smaller court, while older campers spend the first hour on forehand and backhand stroke work and the remaining two hours on skill-based games. Camp ages, dates and start times are not published on the club site.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Brenda Athletic Clubs - Modesto directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleVery clean. Employees are very polite & professional. Pool is immaculate. My 3 wishes would be 1.Fridays (since it technically weekday) stay open til 10 .. #2 another leg press #3 sauna towels. That, I could give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️rating.
I didn’t realize this gym was an amusement park over summer… very off putting. My partner and I wanted to go lap swim and it’s packed with screaming kids and mc Donald’s and candy and floats all over the place. I understand if you want to bring your children over the summer but they have a kiddy mushroom pool and also 2 other small pools that should be for children. The large pool should only be for adults working out. It was disgusting. There’s candy melted on the side of the hot tub with bag of airheads and French fry’s PLUS children jumping into the HOT TUB and pools going back and forth. I was loving this gym until now. Contemplating on canceling the membership
I’m a member here they close early on Fridays. They close at eight but the locker room with suana was closed at 7:30. Made a trip for suana today and they asked me to leave. Employee not even nice about it. Honor the hours you post please. So annoying.
Worst gym ever expensive price too !! So I recently booked a personal training session with Jaylin and came all the way from Turlock only to have her not show up to meet no calls back no text!!! finally I get a a text to reschedule I come in the second day and meet and do my workout after I’m done I payed for the personal training lesson only to be informed after I went in my car and was about to take off that I’m not allowed to come to this gym !!! So awful beacuse I have never don’ anything bad they just discriminated against me and that’s why they kicked me out !!
Most likely going to terminate my membership soon. This club can never seem to enforce their rules. It would be nice if someone would come out of the office every now and then to check the pool area, especially the hot tub. They have a sign posted that reads "Children under 14 not allowed in spa", yet kids are always in the spa. They make it dirty and jump in the water, run around with minimal parent supervision. Today a kid did a cannon ball into the spa. Very cool... Also, their water machine filter was left on red for weeks, told employee it still hasn't changed and they told me it's always like that. Weeks later the filter light shows green. So I was essentially lied to. Not worth the money paid and would rather spend my money elsewhere. Update: Hot tub jets are now broken due to the carelessness of others. Also, water machine by tennis courts have not had filter changed since 12/2023. Staff at Planet Fitness are more educated and nicer than the staff at Brenda. No one knew how to cancel a membership. Pools are also dirty, one seems to be in cleaning every time. Go spend your money elsewhere.
