Powered by GoogleAwful experience with boys and girls club Maize South Intermediate. Leaders there targeted my son and made him feel awful. He had to hide in the bathroom because he felt better in there. Leaders told him to shut his mouth, put him in timeout constantly. Told other kids not to be friends with him and told him they couldn't wait for him to leave. Please message me if you need more details.
I'm not at all happy with the way things have been dealt with in accordance to my account in trying to get my son signed up for summer camp. First of all the information on their summer program was difficult to find on their regular website. Then once I did find it, I had applied for financial assistance for the program, in which nowhere in the application did it mention anything about purchasing a membership first in order for financial assistance to be processed. Then a few days later ways informed vis email that I would need to purchase a membership for it to be processed. In which I did, and waited for a response about the financial assistance which I never got. I did receive an email about their being an orientation for the program and on that day I had called to try and see if I had an answer for the financial assistance I had applied for and was told there were no answers yet and that enrollment has already passed for the month of June. So at that point I decided I'd just have my teen get a job instead of going through the program. Now at the point where I'm trying to get a refund for a membership fee that I had to pay in order to even process a financial assistance application, I'm now being told that because I missed enrollment there's no refund. I'm also being told that I was supposed to re submit the financial assistance application and no one ever told me that or I would have done so instead of waiting to hear back. Not to mention the 5 or 6 voicemails I've left while waiting on an answer that I never received a call back on either. I completely disagree with what is being done in this situation. I'm not able to utilize this program at all, my son's now working instead, and there has been a massive lack of straightforward communication on their end regarding what needed to be done. And now I'm being told I won't receive a refund for now and they will look into it further. I seriously feel like I got scammed into paying for some "fee" that we will never even use at all. I'm a single father who's been struggling for a while which is why I was applying for financial aid in the first place for my kid to go but now I can't even get a refund for a fee that they made me pay just to process a financial assistance application, that... come to find out was never even processed at all. So now it's somehow my fault and I don't get a refund now. I'm just shocked at the whole situation. It's sad .. really sad that they would do such a thing.
This was a community meeting with KDHE (Kansas Department of Health and Environment) concerning ground water contamination of trichlorethylene by Union Pacific RR. The discovery was made in 1994, however, it was not brought to light until 2022.

GOD bless each and everyone who joined together to bring this very necessary endeavor to the aide of so many suffering families.
The staff at Boys and Girls club of Oaklawn are the most awesome loving caring people you will ever meet. They treat each child with the upmost compassion and set good examples for the children. They give them courage and inspire them to keep reaching for their Hope's and dreams. And always there to give a helping hand what ever the situation is and always got the ear to listen when someone needs to talk. But most of all they inspire and touch each and every child that come through the doors. I personally cannot thank each and every staff member and the volunteers that work there to make and absolute difference in each child's life. Thank you all so much.♥️
