I used to go here. Enjoyed it for the most part. Their was times I was bullied. We would go to the skating ring (we would walk their) we would go swimming (almost drown 2 times cause I was dumb and didnt know how to swim. My fault not theirs) and their was this church we would go to and I remember the church had a man dressed up as a super hero. I stopped going when my mom was killed. But I remember that their was a gardener and he would give us youths fresh fruits and veggies they were always so good and he would even have ranch sometimes and he taught us how to plant and garden and would ask for help. But yea im 29 now I even remember the shirts we always had to wear. Do parents still have to buy the shirts and do the kids have to wear them it was basically a requirement when I went but that was way back then.

After hearing people sing their praises I decided to put my daughter in for the summer program. I had a talk with a lady from the PeeWee class about my daughter being moderate to severe ADHD and we have yet to find a medication that works for her. She assured me that they could handle it. That was clearly a lie. I started receiving write ups that were as simple as her just needing constant redirection. Eventually they got to have bigger problems because they just didn't know how to support a kid with moderate to severe ADHD. I was especially upset after finding out that there's kids in there with Autism that get the support they need. Clearly, they're capable of giving support when needed but will pick and choose who gets the support and when a kid that needs it doesn't get it they will get in trouble as a result. We certainly won't be returning.

The front staff needs to be a little bit more friendlier. Not sure how some still have a job and make me question my son going there. One in particular she always has her head laying down and rude. And makes me question if my son is actually safe.

I like their philosophy, but someone must make a surprise visit and see how the kids are unattended because they need MORE adults, hire!!!! Also young teens running over everyone, there is absolutely no structure! And it smells bad. I know they try their best with the limited resources. So the HQ of BGC must pay attention and give more resources so this place can continue supporting the community and succeed. This kids deserve it.

I am constantly impressed by the quality work that the Boys & Girls Club completes here in Murfreesboro and all of Rutherford County. Beth and her team are incredibly resourceful and are such a great asset to the underserved children in this community. I highly recommend working with and donating to the Boys & Girls Club!
