Powered by GoogleThe place needs a lot of work. Dont mean to hurtful just honest. We drove 2 hours to get there and the a/c never was turned on. It was pretty warm and imagine the player how they felt. The place had a bad odor. Especially in the bathrooms and the entrance. Pretty run down.
Parking is always available. Take a class on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays at the Gym. Place is spacious, good lighting, fresh air from the doors come in during our class.
My son first started going to this B&G club location when Gov. Deucy funded free summer camps, I took advantage of it and I am so glad I did. My son has been with them since. After that first summer, I felt pretty good with my son attending there for summer that I decided to continue to have him go there for after school care when he would get out of Granville Elementary. Once they re-opened the PV location after remodeling from that summer, it was even more fun for my kid to continue the B&G club after school program. My older son attended a B&G club in California when he was younger and it was NOTHING like this B&G club. They do so much for the kids when they can, they truly give back and the community gives donations all the time. They've given the kids a pizza dinner from Rosati's (parents could attend as well), they received a huge donation around December that they decided to put that towards free winter camp for 2 weeks for the families which so SO AWESOME!!, each kid also received 1 toy donation they were able to choose from the week before winter break, my son absolutely loved it! The week before Easter Sunday, one parent(I was told) purchased a surplus amount of hams from Costco and on a first come first serve basis, a lot of families received one, even my family. I'm telling you they do a lot for the kids here, this is not your typical B&G club. With my sons 2nd summer at Boys & Girls Club, I love each week was a theme week integrating arts & crafts, stem, sports stuff to whatever theme it was AND they took the kids on several field trips this year. It was a fun summer for my son!! They welcome my son and my 13yr old(stayed with us for a few weeks from San Diego, this year summer camp was FREE for 12 & older) with open arms. I know my kids are in good hands for the most part. I'll admit it can be a little hectic for them when it seems like they are way over loaded with kids and under staffed. I do notice they stay pretty on top of it when it comes to disciplining kids when they are misbehaving, my younger son is more shy type and can easily be picked on, I notice when I asked them to talk to the parent and kid who was bullying my child, I notice they don't always follow up, then i'll have to keep bugging them till it does get handled. I'd say that's been my only flaw with them. Again, I appreciate everything they do for these kids and wanting to make sure they enjoy their time at B&G Club. Here's to the next school year with them, hope it's just as amazing as the last school year. Thanks ya guys!!
Very clean, staff is friendly & their basketball court is absolutely beautiful. We rent the facility from the Town of Prescott Valley after hours & the facility is very safe there is a big parking lot. Clean bathrooms, drinking fountains and a very secure location.
HATE IT. the staff at boys and girls club are MEAN and are jerks. I used to go there and I was having trouble with a staff, so I went to the manager and HE DID NOT CARE. I suggest also have an aunt who wants to put my cousin there, who has autism and will only get cared for because autism and because one of the staff knows him and likes him a lot because he's so "cute" But there are little kids his age (7) that will be mean because of the way he is. It also used to be fun(pay attention to the word "used") But it no longer is fun and is VERY strict. DO NOT PUT YOUR KIDS HERE THEY WILL BE MISERABLE.
