Powered by GoogleI am incredibly thankful for both the Prescott and Prescott Valley Boys & Girls Club locations, as my boys have attended both. My 10-year-old currently attends the Prescott location, and I highly recommend applying for their scholarship program, especially if you're a single parent like me. Alex, the CEO of both locations, truly deserves more recognition for all he does. He goes above and beyond to create fun experiences for the kids, often at no extra cost to parents. For example, during the summer, my 14-year-old attends for free and enjoys a variety of activities. Alex even organizes special outings for teens, like mountain biking, which introduced my son to a new hobby. He also treats them to lunch or ice cream, making Fridays something my son always looked forward to. On field trip days for all kids, he would take everyone out for lunch as well. During school breaks, like fall or winter break, the club is a lifesaver. On days when school is out like 1-2 days, they offer full-day programs at no extra cost, and the scholarship fee for winter break covers all the open days. Compared to other camps charging $150-$200 for one to two weeks, the Boys & Girls Club is an amazing value that leaves me with extra money to make the holidays special for my kids. This winter break, my 14-year-old will visit again, and both my boys will be at the club, allowing me to work knowing they are in good hands. The counselors, like Miss Cienna and Miss Taylor, are fantastic. They truly get to know the kids, understand their personalities, and address issues like bullying promptly, which I deeply appreciate. I am beyond grateful for the impact this club has had on my boys and our family. I will always recommend the Boys & Girls Club whenever the opportunity arises!
I really want to take the time to say how awesome and thankful for Prescott boys and girls club. Celeste and staff are very understanding and helpful and loves not just my 3 boys but all the kids in the program. Amazing and super great job team. 2023 new year
I realized that moving to Prescott would lead to limited daycare options...I just didn't realize how limited the mindset would be. My child was suspended first day for hitting and actually EXPELLED the second day. We are not talking crazy mental fits. They gave him no time to adjust to a new environment. I just want to say ...Handle it!!. Seriously? You cant handle a little child? You are in the wrong business!! This little cowboy town desperately needs many more childcare options and childcare workers that know how to work with children and their families. We have a nanny now and SOOOO much happier!!
I actually go here and it's overall a good idea on paper, however, it could use improvments on some areas such as punishment and the way they run things
I am a single mom, and last year I was looking into after school programs and summer programs that are fairly inexpensive, since babysitters and daycares are pretty pricey. I have a full time job, so I needed somewhere that my kiddo could go after school for a couple hours, and all day during the summer. I narrowed it down to the Y and The Boys and Girls Club. Well the Y was way out of my budget, so I went in to the Club to see what it was like. Everyone that works there is very friendly, the fees are very manageable, and they also offer a discounted rate for parent(s) that are receiving gov't assistance. My daughter has a lot of friends that go there, she loves the days they go on field trips, and I know that my daughter is safe and well taken care of. We renewed our membership this year, and plan on staying for a long time. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for something fun for their kids to do this summer, or after school.
