We had a private cooking class at BUGS for a friends birthday party and I can’t overemphasize how amazing the experience was. Every single part of it was special, from picking the vegetables, to learning about their programs, to cooking and eating the most amazing food I’ve ever had. It felt like a luxury experience, but they made the whole thing so accommodating and welcoming. They even accommodated some dietary restrictions with ease. I will absolutely be going back at some point. This place is a GEM.

Send you kids here to learn about where there food comes from, how to sow, harvest, cook and do dishes. Culinary classes for all ages are very fun and good learning. I've heard of folks doing private events as well.

BUGS is a great community space gifting efforts to Boise. We look forward to supporting how they grow.

Small but mighty. Home to Boise Urban Garden School (BUGS) and it’s amazing programs. In addition, the the small playground and splash pad don’t appear to be much but are lots of fun. Playground has artificial turf and fun climbing structures. Splash pad has mix of small fountains and dump bucket. Plus go for walk in pollinator garden or the story trail. #boiseplaygroundchecklistchallenge

I had the privilege of volunteering 90 hours here a couple summers ago, as a part of the requirements for my environmental science degree. Learning how to garden and farm has changed my life, now that I know the right way to plant seeds and other gardening tasks. What they told me was invaluable. This summer I plan to practice what I learned with my new backyard. ❤️
