Bluebonnet Shores is Girl Scouts of Central Texas's 244-acre camp on Lake Belton, opened in 1960 as Camp Kachina and renamed in 2021 after members voted to retire a name raised as culturally appropriative. Summer sessions for Girl Scouts run as themed weeks with archery, sailing, canoeing and kayaking, backpacking, fishing, climbing walls, SCUBA certification and team-building. The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association, meaning it meets or exceeds more than 200 health, safety and program standards. Outside the summer it takes weekend reservations from both Girl Scout and non-Girl Scout groups.

Powered by GoogleI was a Girl Scout and to Camp Kachina it was my favorite place to explore and having fun. Also making new friends
We stayed the weekend here for a girl scouts service unit campout. The camp director and staff were wonderful - they really cared about the girls! They have lots of great activities: sailing and archery and a rock climbing wall, plus hatchet throwing, zip lines and sling shots. There is also a tree house that the girls can play in and a small nature center with lots of specimens to learn about.
An amazing camp for Girl Scouts of Central Texas.
Love this Lolz 😍😍😍
