I took the Level One Surfers Program with Coach Frank and had so much fun. Frank taught me about different surfboards, how to check the weather report for surfing, etiquette while in the water with other surfers, and of course, how to surf! The photos and videos that are included in the price of the classes are an extra bonus that other schools don’t have (the ones I looked at anyways). It’s such a fun way to document this great experience. Frank is encouraging, straightforward with his instruction, and always has a happy demeanor. His love for being in the water is contagious! I highly recommend Blue Ocean Breeze Surf School! If you’re in the area, and only can make it for one lesson, it’s still so worth it! I got up on my first time ever on a surfboard with Coach Frank. 5/5 experience!

I had a great lesson from Coach Frank. Ala Moana Beach Park is a perfect place to learn - not too crowded, good waves. I’ve been in Waikiki as well and this is better! More relaxed and easier parking. Coach Frank was patient and positive. With each try, he gave me new tips and advice, and by the end of the lesson, I had put it all together and was actually surfing! The short warmup and land lesson were a good start, and off I went! It also helped that it was low tide… I was able to walk out to the starting spot, as opposed to tiring myself out paddling. The only thing I would change is to have the lesson earlier in my trip, so I could have scheduled more than one or even a series. I haven’t seen the videos yet but having Go Pro videos included is a nice touch. Highly recommend Blue Ocean Breeze Surf School!

We had an awesome experience with Coach Frank at the surf school today! He was an incredible coach, super knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging the entire time. He even took the time to help us with boards we had bought locally, which we really appreciated and definitely went above and beyond. He made us feel safe and confident in the water, and you can tell he genuinely cares about helping people improve and have a great time. Couldn’t recommend him more. We’ll 100% be back!

Highly recommend Blue Ocean Breeze for anyone interested in learning how to surf, even if you've never been on a board before! This was my first time trying to surf, and what a time it was - Frank's coaching helped me catch a wave during my very first attempt! He covered the fundamentals of reading waves, the proper technique for getting up on the board, and details for how to improve after each wave caught. Frank was friendly and patient with my friends and I from start to finish. I will most certainly be booking more classes with Blue Ocean in the future.

Let me tell you that was absolutely amazing experience !! Coach Frank is very professional, patient and with a big smile 😀 All of these three factors made me feel confident to catch my first wave ! Nice activity for a family. You should definitely book a class while you are in Hawaii!!
