Birch Creek Music Performance Center is a residential summer music academy in Egg Harbor (est. 1976) for advanced student musicians entering grade 7 through grade 12. It offers four two-week overnight sessions–Percussion, Steel Pan & World Music, Symphony, and Big Band Jazz–during which students live in dormitory housing on a 40-acre rural campus. A 2-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio provides intensive mentoring and public performance alongside professional musicians.

★RustyOur child had a very poor experience here. If your child doesn't fit in or "normal" this is not a very welcoming place. For talented kids that don't fit we would recommend Whitewater, Milwaukee Jazz Institute and Madison summer camps.

The counselors were professional players... and amazing. Worth the drive from anywhere on the peninsula to see this. They play in a converted barn and it sounded so good. The horns and woodwinds in harmony, the guitar comping and improvising, the vocalist on her numbers, it was all top notch.
