Big Sky Youth Empowerment (BYEP) is a Bozeman nonprofit offering a free, year-round outdoor adventure-based group-mentorship program for vulnerable teens in grades 7–12. Teens are grouped with peers and mentors for weekend outdoor adventures (skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, whitewater rafting) and weekday social-emotional life-skills workshops. It is an ongoing multi-year mentorship program rather than a summer camp.

Kind, friendly, helpful and absolutely 100% with the kiddos! I would highly recommend! Can't thank them enough for all the opportunities, advocacy, empowerment and support they've given my children and myself!

This program has some of the most amazing people working for them. They help youth in so many ways. Currently I have two kids in this program and my niece and my friends two kids. They enjoy skiing or snowboarding in the winter (which is at no cost to the family) and during the summer they go rock climbing or white water rafting. They do group once a week and I cannot say enough great things about this group. There should be more things like this out there

My daughter was enrolled this past winter session and she loved it! It's such a great program to help kids with numerous areas, and if it weren't form them, she would have never known that she loved to ski! It great for them to be around kids that might have the same situation as your child or similar thoughts, problems, concerns, etc. They are there to help, and to open up new experiences with new faces other that who they might go to school with. Thank you BYEP for all you do!

Our daughter has been in the program for a few years. The mentors are fantastic and you can tell they truly care about the kids. We really appreciate the work they do and can't say enough good things about BYEP.
