Lea DeVall was the most amazing instructor that we have had at big sky yet. Coming from a local of 11 years and a kiddo who has skied since she was 3....thats a lot to say! My daughter is an artist and sometimes hard to engange with and Lea did an amazing job teaching her skills along side of keeping it artistic (did I mention Lea is an artist) and fun! She had a pinata for two of the students birthdays....what a pleasure to send my kiddo out with this young lady.❤

Had a great "tune-up" experience with Ursula yesterday. My wife and I booked a half-day. We used to be good Intermediate skiers, but have only skied 2 days in the past 17 years! Needless to say, there was rust, some bad technique, and just some forgotten concepts from lack of practice. Ursula loves teaching and is great at explaining the theory and reasons why you need to do something. She usually starts with a specific drill for you to "get the feel" but doesn't explain the rationale yet. Once you experience the technique, she spends time to explain the body mechanics of why it's important / necessary. This helps the student commit to keeping at the technique when you understand "the why" - particularly if it's easier to just do it my old way. We hope to return to Big Sky again next year (not in another 17 yrs) and will plan to schedule another 1/2 day with Ursula.

We cannot express enough gratitude for the consistent standard of excellence that big sky mountain sports delivers time and time again. Our three kiddos have become advanced snowboarders in our time here over the years! That said, want to give a few above and beyond should pits to Kris, whi was beyond thoughtful and expressive in his feedback and appreciation for our kiddos, for Noah and for Sam, who each hung with two of my kids on different days. All three of these instructors exemplify the best of what instructors should be: supportive, positive and flexible! ❤️

The staff did an amazing job with both my kids but we're especially great when my son had a really tough time initially. They helped get him back on track and he ended up having a great day. Matt and Rory, in particular, were awesome.

11/10! I was visiting for a few days after not skiing in 1 year (and 10 years before that). I was super nervous to take lessons as an adult, but had such an amazing experience all around. I even made friends during the class and it was fun to see them on the mountain after. I felt appropriately challenged during the lesson and the following two days were the best and most fun days of skiing I've ever had. Nelson was a fantastic instructor! He was patient and knew when to stop with the drills. He made sure all three of the students in class had individualized instruction. When I was done with the lesson, we reviewed what to work on. 12/10 for Nelson and his fundamentals.
