Powered by GoogleI haven't been to Big Sandy Camp since I was 8. I'm 38 now and let me tell you, this bible camp has shaped me into who I am today. It is one of my only childhood memories that I remember crystal clear. I need to go back to check it out once more someday
Great place to get away from busy life and get closer to God. Camp is clean, with amazing views, friendly staff, and fun activities for campers and leaders of all ages.
As someone who's gone here, its not that bad, the water pressure in the shower sometimes hurts, but the cabins are good nonetheless, they have plenty to do and so much fun stuff, and a lot about God. They often invite people to share about God and Christianity, and even are kind to others who are islamic, Jewish, ect.. I think its a fun camp for everyone no matter what opinions you have, and the food and accommodations are great. The cabin leaders are fun, my cabin leader was Trinity Verret and she was very supportive and fun, she comforted me when I cried and prayed for me to feel better, just an overall great person.
Our family has been coming here for years! Wouldn't go anywhere else. Top knotch staff, so many activities, speakers and worship are always amazing, and God's presence abounds here.
Was a great camp until Randy retired. The new guy Josh is very rude and aggressive. Was rude to a child with special needs. We have been going to this camp forever and the loving Christian experience does not work exist with him. Several of the people in the bay on the lake have been talking about Josh, who is new and very mean in his demeaner. Not a fan of the new management staff.
