Bethel Christian Camp is an independent, non-denominational Christian overnight camp in Gaston, in Lexington County, that has run camps for Midlands children and youth since 1941. It offers seven residential camp weeks split by age: Junior Camp (ages 7-11), Middler Camp (ages 11-14), Teen Camp (ages 13-16), and a Teen Adventure Trip (ages 14-17). Campers swim, fish, shoot archery and target sports, and use a ropes/challenge course, baseball and softball field, and basketball court. The nonprofit states a particular focus on serving underserved youth and also hosts community retreats.
