Bay Cliff Health Camp
Private
Bay Cliff Health Camp is a nonprofit therapy and wellness center on 165 acres along Lake Superior near Big Bay, running a seven-week residential summer camp for children ages 3-17 with therapy needs. Campers receive physical, occupational, speech-language and music therapy from licensed therapists while taking part in traditional camp activities such as nature classes, art, camp-outs and talent shows, with the aim of building independence. Founded in 1934 by a public-health nurse and a physician, the camp shifted to serving children with disabilities after polio reached the Upper Peninsula around 1940.

Powered by GoogleYears ago, I had the pleasure of visiting a lovely place that left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the charm and beauty that surrounded me. The picturesque landscapes, the historical architecture, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere all contributed to making it a truly unforgettable experience. What made this place even more special was the wonderful people I met along the way. The locals were incredibly friendly and always went out of their way to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Their genuine kindness and hospitality made me feel right at home, despite being in a foreign land. The memories I formed during my time there will forever hold a special place in my heart, and it is a destination that I hope to return to one day.
My son attended camp and was in unit 4. Baycliff is such a special place. Everyone there was absolutely wonderful, respectful and kind. The experience left my son noticably more confident in himself and his abilities. He had a wonderful time and still talks about it a year later. Such a blessing that he was able to attend.
Beautiful campus in the winter! Good food. Rooms were clean.
My sister goes every summer and loves it there
A Place where Miracles do happen. Focused, caring staff. A group with only one focus in mind for the kids summer camp...Helping them strive & thrive. Beautiful grounds, well maintained, lots and lots of space. They now have a new indoor sports family. I Love Bay Cliff and what they do💜
