Free summer and after-school youth program at the Bauer Community Center in downtown Lafayette, run by Bauer Family Resources, a nonprofit serving local children and families since 1929. The Youth Development Program is open to youth in grades 1-12 and combines recreation, STEM activities, homework help and leadership building; most Bauer programs are offered at low or no cost. The center also runs community dinners and connects families to childcare assistance.

Powered by GoogleThe staff are great but most kids that go are a different story. Foul mouths and the staff can only do so much. I wish the staff luck for the future.
I love the staff. They are great with the kids. My kids love going. My children has been in Bauer for 2 yrs, now. I would recommend bringing your children here.
They offer amazing benefits to the community and are all friendly and nice. My kids enjoy the summer camp more than the others that parents have to pay an arm and a leg for. Would definitely recommend. I wish summer camp hours started earlier than 10am however but other than that it's a great community resource for everyone in the Lafayette area.
The kids love going here for the summer youth program. The fact that its green and they still go on field trips ever week is amazing. This place is a blessing for a single mom like me who cant afford daycare.
