The Alonzo 'Babe' James Community Center in New Smyrna Beach runs a full-day summer camp for ages 5–14 (5-year-olds must have completed kindergarten), operating roughly June through August, 7:30am–5:30pm. Days feature games, arts and crafts, field trips, scavenger hunts and arts programming through the Atlantic Center for the Arts. The center is jointly operated by the City of New Smyrna Beach, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia-Flagler and the NSB Police Athletic League.
