We recently visited Jackson Hole to explore the area and see if it would be a good place for our family to move. Our daughter, who is 5 years old and already doing gymnastics in New York, had a trial class at Axis Gymnastics — and it was an incredible experience. The instructors were professional, kind, and truly athletic. Their positive attitude and wonderful spirit made my daughter feel comfortable and excited from the very first moment. She loved it so much that she kept talking about the class even after we returned to New York, and she keeps asking when she can go back! Axis Gymnastics left such a great impression on all of us. We absolutely can’t wait to move to Jackson Hole and have her join this amazing gym permanently. Highly recommended!

We attended an 8 year old’s birthday party here last weekend that was really fun! Cool to see kids bouncing on the trampolines, and swinging on the rings and trapeze. The dozen youths were well supported and supervised by “Babs (sp?), who was gracious but firm in her supervision of her attendees. I would highly recommend this place for many occasions!

We were not impressed with the class for toddlers. Enrolled my daughter here to “pick up” where we left off at her former gymnastics class where we previously lived (they taught the kids forward and backward rolls, basic balance beam techniques, bars, etc…) and this was more along the lines of just letting the kids get their energy out. The instructor was nice but the curriculum was lacking. When I asked if there was another class that she could take to challenge her more, I was told that they could ask the owner of the gym to see if my daughter would be able to take private lessons or be a part of the competition team “if that’s what she wants to do…” Ummmm, she’s 3 years old. It’s not about competing at this age but she does need to keep progressing and learning the basic techniques she has already learned and I was shocked to learn that they don’t offer group classes like that for her age here. If you are looking for a place to drop your toddler off for a while to burn some energy, this place is fine. If you are looking for a gymnastics facility where your toddler can begin to hone basic gymnastics skills, I would look elsewhere.
