Austin Yacht Club runs a full-day sailing summer camp on Lake Travis for ages 8 to 16, meeting Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with campers signing up week by week. Early weeks focus on adventure sailing and racing instruction is layered in as the summer progresses; alongside time on the water, campers swim, do arts and crafts, play games and take part in STEM-flavoured outdoor learning, closing each week with show-and-tell, awards and an ice cream party. Younger sailors aged 5 to 8 are served by separate 90-minute 'PB&J Saturdays' sessions rather than the full camp.
