St. Augustine

Augustine Rainbow Camp is a day camp run by St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Cleveland's Tremont neighbourhood, built around group activities the parish describes as designed to 'enhance one's abilities and self-image, while working and playing with others in a group situation.' It is a day program - campers go home each evening - and the parish page does not publish session dates, daily hours or fees. It serves children ages 5 to 13, open both to children living in the Tremont area and to deaf, hard-of-hearing, visually impaired and developmentally disabled children from across Greater Cleveland, with disabled and non-disabled campers enrolled together. The camp also provides job and leadership training for teens and young adults from the neighbourhood.

Father Ben delivers such a pious mass. And the free Christmas trees outside are soft to the touch. I carried mine home to W.5th Street. St. Augustine's feeds the local community. If you can't volunteer, please donate!

My husband and I went for Christmas Eve mass we sat in the front row. I can’t say I am a church color but I am a believer and I love my Catholic faith which has been tested lately this whole year. I had such an overwhelming experience here with the priest . I don’t know what his name is. He had long brown hair. We gave a check for $100 which I hope helps is nice parish. I love the diversity here. I’m looking forward to coming back and maybe I’ll get back to going to Church. God bless you all read this.

Love this church. My family has been coming here since the mid 60s. An amazing lifeline to the community. Religious classes for the youth and dedication to supporting the less fortunate and feeding the homeless every day. The St. Augustine family is beautiful!
