A/U Ranches
Private
The A/U Ranches is a 1,600-acre Christian Science camp property at the base of the Collegiate Peaks in Buena Vista, operating since 1955 with two camp facilities: Sky Valley Ranch for 2nd-8th graders and Round-Up Ranch for high schoolers. Youth Camp sessions run two weeks with a one-week option available, and campers take part in swimming, fishing, a ropes course, rock gym, arts and crafts, canoeing, kayaking, archery and sports within an explicitly Christian Science atmosphere. The property also hosts adult and all-ages programs year round and the 100 Elk Outdoor Center, an outdoor education program open to the public.

Powered by GoogleMost amazing camp for kids, adults, schools. All ages and really wonderfully run. I have been coming since I was a kid and I hope to send grand kids one day!!!
I first went in 1975 at age 13 with my brother. I had so much fun! We climbed Mt Yale that summer! Wow! That was tough, but with God's help I made it up! We camped on the saddle and the next morning those that wanted went on to the summit. I was pretty tired, so I opted not to go up. I went back 2 years later, and then twice the summer of 1980 (the year I graduated). I wish my sons could have gone, but it never worked out. Those trips were the best of my life!
We experienced this wonderful camp 4 years ago as a family, now our twins are old enough to attend youth camp. We're so grateful for the generosity and assistance that allows our kids to experience spiritual growth, create memories and form lasting bonds.
I'd goive this place a good 5 stars if only I hadn't have had a misfortunate experience there in the last of the 3 week session there in June - July of 1967. I mer cilessly twisted my ankle while trying to climb Mt. Princeton. I couldn't even stand up by the end of the session and had to be driven back to my home in Dallas TX. It took me until the end of that year for a full recovery!
My two kids who are middle school age had such a good time last Summer for one week, that they are going for two weeks next Summer. This Summer camp is physically appropriate for all kids and more importantly spiritually appropriate for my kids! We love it.
