During the summer, I performed with the Atlanta Festival Academy for the first time. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had and I had so much fun! I made so many new friends and learned so many new things. Everyone in the orchestra is so talented and it was a great community to be in. I’m thankful to the whole AFA team for making that trip possible because it was spectacular. I 100% recommend this program.

This was my first year participating in the AFA European camp and I had an amazing experience. We performed a piece with guest violinist Simon Zhu and Maestro Henry Cheng. Everyone got to know each other better, and it felt like one big family. The trip to France was very captivating and encouraged me to practice even more. The orchestra was filled with many talented musicians, and together we got to play pieces in different settings in France. I recommend this camp 100% because students have the opportunity to perform with other great musicians while having such a fun time. Everyone is so nice and caring, and it’s an amazing environment to be in. I made so many friends, and would go to this camp over and over again!

AFA has been a cornerstone of top-notch music education in the region for years. Each year, it hosts summer camps and year-round orchestras. This year, we had the honor of being part of the summer camp in France. The AFA faculty, guest conductor, and violin soloist are all outstanding! The student performers are not just learners, but also a source of inspiration with their boundless enthusiasm. The performance at Selle-Sur-Cher was a truly unique experience. The sightseeing tours were well organized. We will cherish the bond and laughter we shared during the trip for many years! My daughter is eager to participate in more camps like this one.

I’ve done AFA for the past 4 years and I can confidently say that I get better every year! Not only is it an amazing learning experience and makes you a better musician, you also get to form new friendships through rehearsal and chamber music. I highly recommend this camp for anyone who enjoys music!

My sister really enjoys this academy, she looks forward to it every summer. She gets to meet so many people, wonderful conductors, and play beautiful music. The concert at the end is always amazing, and I highly recommend this for other students that are passionate in music!
